link to fuller stories inside the Web site. There would also
be the district address, superintendent name and phone number
and Webmaster link. Primary
links
Our district A-Z - This would
consist of an alphabetical listing of all information that's
available on the Web site. It could begin small and grow over
time. For example, it might include:

could include
information about the district's mission, its programs,
curriculum maps and
academic achievement. This, too, could grow and change over
time.

searchable alumni database.

include a listing of board members, announcements of upcoming
meetings, agendas and minutes, how to address the board, and
information on the school budget.
Calendar - This could include a
month-by-month calendar of school events or a searchable
events database.
Directory - This could include a
simple listing of the key people to contact in the district,
or it could be set up as a searchable database of all staff
members.

gather comments about the Web site as well as about district
issues in general
Job openings - A listing of the
latest job openings with information on how to apply for a
job.
Our schools - This could lead to a
single page listing all the schools in the district with basic
information on each one, or it could lead to a single page or
a small series of pages for each school building.
Publications/forms - Archived
copies of the district newsletters as well as other booklets,
brochures & commonly used forms.
Transportation - This section could
include bus schedules, as well as answers to the most commonly
