Parent newsletters
Parents are a prime audience that school
districts need to reach regularly in order to do a better job
of educating children. Many principals send home parent newsletters,
but often they are time-consuming to produce and not always
effective.
In an effort to help
school districts with this
all-important communication task, our service has developed a
series of parent newsletters that feature a strong "generic"
feature story on page one and back page copy tailored to the information needs of each participating
school. The generic portion of these newsletters typically
provides parents with information on how to help their
children succeed in school. The rest of the newsletter often
includes feature stories on school programs, schedules of
events, parent reminders, etc.
These newsletters have been
extremely popular
with parents, because they are very practical and hit home on
issues of greatest concern. The newsletters are also popular
with teachers and administrators because they don't take as much of
their time to write and are quite inexpensive to
produce.
