How
we
operate
With
our
service,
there
is
no
such
thing
as
"one
size
fits
all."
We
view
every
school
district
as unique.
Therefore,
the
work
we
do
for
each
school
district
varies.
Typically,
we
meet
with
the
superintendent
up
front
to
discuss
what
the
district
is
looking
for
and
can
afford
to
do.
From
that
discussion,
we
offer
you
a
number
of
options
with
costs
attached.
This
can
range
from
producing
four
newsletters
a
year
all
the
way
up
to
providing
full-level
communications
services
that
include
publications,
media,
community
relations, Web
site
development
and
so
on.
Once
you
join
our
service,
we
assign
a
communications
specialist
to
become
your
district’s account executive
or
"AE."
The
AE’s
job
is
to
get
to
know
your
district’s
needs
very
well
and
to
help
carry
out your communications
program.
Each
year,
we
will
develop
a
communications
work
plan
for
your
district
that
is
tied
into
your
district’s
educational
goals
and
priorities.
This
plan
may
simply
be
a
schedule
of
newsletters
to
be
produced
along
with
a
list
of
stories
developed
collaboratively
with
your
staff.
Or
this
plan
may
be
a
more
extensive
document
that
strategically
addresses
your
communication
needs
through
a
variety
of channels -- i.e.
newsletters,
brochures,
press
coverage,
community
forums, Web
sites
and
television.
One
question
we
often
hear
is:
"Yes,
but
who
does
all
the
writing?"
In
most
cases,
it
is
our
staff.
That’s
one
of
the
key
benefits
we
offer
school
districts.
Each
of
our
communication
specialists
is
a
skilled
writer
who
can
produce
everything
from
newsletter
features
to
press
releases
to
brochure
copy
and
more.
Our
communications
specialists
are
also
skilled
in
such
areas
as
photography, desktop publishing, Web
site
authoring,
video
script
writing
and
presentation
planning.
Backing
them
up
is
a
team
of
people
who
are
skilled
in
graphic
design, Web
site
development
and
print
management.
Together,
we
are
able
to
help
you
raise
the
quality
of
your
communications
to
a
whole
new
level
of
professionalism.
One
other
important
aspect
of
our
service
is
the
fact
that
we
are
intimately
involved
in
your
school
district,
getting
to
know
your
staff
and
often
working
side-by-side
with
them
on
communication
projects.
In most cases,
we
maintain
an
office
in
your
district,
which
allows
us
to
be
more
sensitive
to
your
issues
and
needs
and
to
deliver
work
in
a
more
timely
manner.
However,
the
communication
specialist
assigned
to
your
district
will
be
constantly
drawing
upon
the
expertise
and
help
of
the
other
members
of
the
BOCES
Communications team
to
carry
out
your
district’s
work.
This
teamwork
allows
us
to
produce
a
greater
quality
and
quantity
of
work
than
any
one
of
us
could
ever
do
on
our
own.
